In addition to Brooklyn Meeting's five regularly scheduled Meetings for Worship we hold these other regular events:
Every Tuesday & Thursday

Friendly Co-Working at the Brooklyn Meetinghouse
We recently expanded co-working to two days weekly. Hope to see Friends there.

- 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Peer Support for Job Seekers
Brooklyn Meetinghouse - Outside if the weather is nice, or on the 3rd floor
This group offers a supportive space for anyone navigating unemployment or career changes. Attendees are welcome to stay for co-working and share lunch together after.
- 5:30 - 7:30 pm
Organizing for Immigrant Rights
Join us to learn how you can protect our neighbors and develop ways to face what is threatening immigrant communities.
Every First Day (Sundays)
- 11:00 am - 11:50 am – First-Day School
September to June during the 11am Meeting. Classes usually gather in the lower-level classrooms.
First Day School provides an introduction to Quaker life through storytelling, art projects, and co-operative games for children ages 4-13. Click here for our upcoming schedule and activities.
Childcare is also available during the 11am Meeting for children ages 3 months to 3 years in the care of an early-childhood teacher and dedicated volunteers.
First Sunday of Each Month (except August)
- 10:00am - 10:50am – Hymn singing
by the piano in the Meeting Room
- 10:30 am – Introduction to Silent Worship
in the Library in the Social Hour Room.
Open to all, including newcomers, the curious, and seasoned Quakers open to sharing their experiences.
- 1:00 pm – Meeting for Worship with a Concern for Business
in the Meeting Room and Hybrid via Zoom (same link as 11am Meeting)
First & Third Tuesdays of Each Month
- 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm – Making & Mending Night
Create community, mend clothing, make items by hand, craft for a better tomorrow! Open to all NYC Quakers.

- 10:00 am – Readings of spiritual texts
in the Meeting Room
- 1:00 pm – Quakerism 101
in the Meeting Room and Hybrid via Zoom (same link as 11am Meeting)
A monthly discussion of Quaker principles, practice, and history, open to all. A great opportunity to learn about Quakerism and to deepen connections with fellow Friends.

Concern for Quaker Living (CQL) Working Group Meeting
The CQL working group of New York Quarterly Meeting focuses on Quaker housing, the Community Wellness support services available to NYC Quakers, and fostering opportunities for NYC Quakers to come together as a Quarter.

- 6:00 - 8:00 pm – Climate Cafe + Radical Imagination Activity
Climate Cafe community helps people face your climate anxiety, connects you to impactful local organizing, and keeps you motivated through camaraderie, creativity, and fun.

Every Thursday, May-September, in Battery Park

at the Labyrinth in the northwest corner of Battery Park, weather permitting
